Yesterday was our installation date. What a great day it was.
It all started promptly at 8:00 am. The team arrived and jumped out of their vehicles, all masked and ready for a productive day. I said hello and made some new friends. By the time I returned from Aldergrove the team was well into the removal and the fitting of the new windows. It was very clear that the team who made the windows were very talented because the windows slipped in without a hitch. They fit like a glove, so great work to all of that group.
As the day progressed it was very obvious that every member was selected for their amazing talents which they each brought to the table. Every member of the group was kind, friendly, sensitive to issues regarding a person's home, humble and attentive. Even when we suggested that the shutters perhaps should not be put back up. The answer was "No Problem, we will just patch the nail holes". Also, the final clean up was WOW. Our home has never been that clean. Your team sets a very high standard.
As far as COVID goes, it was a non issue. I made sure their was a separate sanitized washroom for the team, which helps to protect them. Masks never came off. Shoes always came off. Trevor and myself felt very safe in this environment and I hope the team did as well.
In terms of the workmanship, I noticed that the interior side of each window was sealed seamlessly. For the first night in many years, I did not hear the train, police cars and all night working trucks in the neighbourhood. I feel so much better.
Please extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone. We look forward to hanging our new door. Oh yes, it will be a fire engine red door. YAH.
