Window Choices
Whether you are building or renovating, the type of window you choose can enhance your home's unique style, control your view, optimize sunlight and improve ventilation. We invite you to explore our wide range of styles, glazing options, frame profiles, hardware and custom colours.
Picture Windows
Picture windows provide beautiful views when ventilation is not a concern. Large feature windows optimize available light and can be combined with operating windows and patio doors.
Picture windows can include a transom and side lites for a more expansive view.
Awning Windows
Awning windows are hinged at the top and open outward to maximize airflow from all directions. Even when it's raining, they can be opened for ventilation. These windows are uniquely designed to provide light while maintaining privacy.
Screens are placed on the interior of the window unit. Awning styles can include a transom for a more expansive view.
Casement Windows
Casement windows are hinged at the side and crank outward which makes them ideally suited for locations where you have to reach over counters. They open fully for increased ventilation, easy cleaning and unobstructed views.
Casements are extremely airtight and have internal screens. Configurations can be a single casement or a combination of units.
Sliders
Sliders have a contemporary gliding design where at least one sash slides across the other. Many people find this easier to open than lifting or cranking. Sliders are good for high traffic areas because they don't project in or out.
Sliders provide maximum ventilation and easy cleaning. Screens are mounted on the exterior.
Bay Windows
Bay windows are a combination of three outward projecting windows that provide multiple views and a feeling of spaciousness. These versatile windows increase light flow and also add counter space.
The side units project out from the building in 30, 45, or 90 degree angles. The center is parallel with the building wall and is made up of one or more windows.
All the units can be stationary, operating, or any combination.
Bow Windows
Bow windows are a series of four or more adjoining window units, commonly five in number, installed on a radius from the wall of the building. All units can be stationary, operating or any combination.
Bow windows provide expansive views and create another dimension to your home. They also create an elegant window seat, breakfast nook or plant ledge.
Garden Windows
Garden windows create a dynamic dimension to home exteriors and increase light and spaciousness from the inside. They also create an elegant window seat, breakfast nook or plant ledge. They have awning style opening windows on each end for cross ventilation. The garden window extends out 17 1/2" and can be customized to fit any size opening.
Accent Windows
Accent windows are specialty windows with curved shapes or angles other than 90 degrees. They are available with a variety of grid configurations to create custom patterns for unique, artistic designs.
Transoms
Transoms are fixed lites above or below any window or door style. They provide additional light and aesthetic beauty. Multiple transoms can create a dramatic impact to showcase interior design features or beautiful views to the outdoors.
Side Lites
Side lites are joined to window and door units to give added light and a more expansive view. They can be a stationary or operating style and can be added to picture, awning and casement windows.
Hy-Lite® Block Windows
Block windows provide enduring beauty with ease of installation. The windows are configured to your specifications and offer maximum flexibility in design and application without sacrificing security or privacy.
Hy-Lite® Block Windows are configured with 6" or 8" blocks, available in Crystal Clear and Green and in either the distinctive Wave pattern or the unique Cross Rib pattern. They are also available in an 8" Triangle Block, allowing for even more creative configurations.
Skylights
Skylights bring natural light into your home, highlighting your interior design by bringing out the true colours of your furnishings. Incorporating skylights into your home's design creates spaciousness without adding square footage. Skylights are fixed or operable.
