Enhanced Government Rebate Program
Allow West Coast Windows to Do More to help you Save More. Take advantage of our government rebate enhancement program and realize savings of over $130.00* per window when you improve the energy efficiency of your home.
The West Coast Windows Do More, Save More program affords you beautiful, high performance windows, as well as helps you cut your overall energy costs and reduce your carbon footprint. Ask us about available financing options.
Please note: energy audits must be performed prior to window installation to qualify for grants.
Here’s how it works:
- Step One:
- West Coast Windows will arrange for a certified energy advisor to provide an evaluation on your home. Or, you may choose your own advisor. To find a certified advisor, call 1-800-622-6232 (1-800-OCANADA) or click here.
- Step Two:
- The energy advisor will inspect your doors, windows, insulation, heating and cooling systems and provide advice and information on improving your home’s efficiency. LiveSmart BC will pay half the cost of the advisor’s services. You will pay the other half – up to $150. This will be refunded at the end of process if you make recommended improvements (see Step 5).
- Step Three:
- Upgrade your home with West Coast Windows high performance ENERGY STAR® windows within 18 months (of Step Two), and receive a $40 grant for each window from the Federal government and a $20 rebate for each window from the Provincial government. West Coast Windows will fill all sealed glass units with argon gas ($40 value), resulting in a window rating one zone better than ENERGY STAR® requirements and an additional $10 per window rebate from the Province.
- Step Four:
- The home owner should arrange for the second audit when all the energy efficiency upgrades have been completed or 18 months have passed since the first inspection, whichever comes first. West Coast Windows will refund the home owner the cost of this evaluation up to a maximum of $150.
- Step Five:
- The Energy advisor will process your incentive application, which will be forwarded to both the Federal and Provincial governments. You will receive two cheques in the mail to help offset the cost of your energy retrofits.
